The event will hold ON Saturday, May 7th, in Huntsville, Alabama and start by 05.00 PM to 9:30 PM. Thank You. Col. Jeremy Phelps. O-6 U.S. Air Force 39th ABW Commander.
He tried to scam me and I googled him and found this. Thank you!
Hello Patty.
Thanks for the email. Just for a proper introduction, I'm Jeremy Phelps, a Colonel with the US Air Force. I'm deployed and currently serving in the Middle-East. I'm schedule to return home on September 5th, after 37 months of service here in the Middle-East. I'm planning a homecoming surprise and family reunion activities for myself, my wife and our children. My family is actually based in Saint Louis, MO but I've chosen to reunite with them in Los Angeles because our wedding anniversary is also in September. So we'll have a 4 weeks long vacation.
As mentioned in the AD, our children are Dominic (4 years 7 months old boy) and Pamela (2 years 5 months old girl). They both have no food allergies and no health problem. They're very friendly with other kids and playful.
The first day we'll need your service is Monday September 7th. You may decide to live in with us or always resume the responsibility of them from 10:30 a.m. until early evening and we'll need you to be flexible as we may occasionally need your service till late evening and weekends.
If you decide not to live in with us, besides your rates, I'll be responsible for your transportation and feeding. Please, let me know if you will be capable for this position. I also want to know your hourly rates and if you'll love to live in with us or you'll prefer coming from your home.
This is a homecoming surprise, I'm keeping my return a secret particularly to my wife, my children and my relatives.
Thank You.
Col. Jeremy Phelps. O-6 U.S. Air Force. 39th Air Base Wing Commander
Hi JoAnna, I have just received exactly the same email today! This time the Col. Jeremy Phelps is coming for his FAMILY REUNION DINNER PARTY in Broward County on March 30th. Busy person, this guy! I am going to roll over backwards to make it happen for him! (being sarcastic, of course).
I have been getting stuff like this all the time, very similar messages, lots of mistakes, but lots of unnecessary details. We're small businesses and must use common sense always before replying to any of this stuff - not to mention taking it seriously. Sometimes I just wonder - what's in it for them??
I received a similar email with same story seeking different type of service. Not realizing it was a scam I conversed and negotiated services until he said he wanted to sign over his paycheck to pay for services. That's what this is about. It's a check fraud scam. I'm reporting it to law enforcement and you should too.
I get one of these every 6 weeks or so.
